The Water Lily Obsession
In 1883, the painter Claude Monet rented a house for the first time in the charming town of Giverny. After purchasing the property and expanding it, the artist transformed the existing pond into a water garden adorned with water lilies and a Japanese bridge, from which he admired the water and flowers.
From 1899 to 1926, Claude Monet painted over 250 works on the theme of Water Lilies, the most famous being the eight panels that grace the Orangerie Museum in Paris.
Through a dialogue between the painter and his close friend, the statesman Georges Clemenceau, the virtual reality experience Claude Monet – The Water Lily Obsession takes viewers on a journey from the museum to the garden at Giverny across the seasons. It unveils his workshop and immerses us in Monet’s creative process, surrounded by a whirlwind of colors. An immersive and sensory experience at the heart of this unique masterpiece.
